Nexium price in australia

Health authorities in several key countries have warned of the risks of heart attacks and strokes when taking the drug Nexium, which treats heartburn and acid reflux.

The drug is sold under the brand names esomeprazole and omeprazole, both at a daily dose of 40mg.

Risks of Nexium

The risks of heart attacks and strokes are similar to those seen in some other gastrointestinal disorders, such as ulcers or bleeding, according to a.

The warning comes amid an increase in the use of proton pump inhibitors, such as lansoprazole and pantoprazole, by patients in some countries.

Lansoprazole, sold under the brand name Protonix, has been linked to a rise in cases of gastroesophageal reflux disease, a condition that affects the stomach and esophagus.

It has also been linked to an increased risk of fatal gastrointestinal bleeding.

What are the side effects of Nexium?

The drug, sold under the brand name Nexium, treats the symptoms of conditions such as:

  • Acid reflux, where the acid in the stomach empties into the esophagus
  • Gastroesophageal reflux disease
  • Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)

It also carries a warning against the use of lansoprazole and pantoprazole, both at daily doses of 40mg.

How can I tell if I have heartburn?

It's important to take the pill with a full glass of water to help remove excess stomach acid, and to avoid stomach irritation, which can lead to ulcers and bleeding.

However, the risks of heartburn are slightly greater when taking the drug, the health authorities said.

They said patients taking the drug for a long time may experience heartburn as a side effect.

What should I do if I have a heartburn?

If you have heartburn, contact a doctor or visit your local A& E department.

To reduce the risk of triggering the symptoms of heartburn, start your heartburn treatment at the earliest symptom of the day, and continue until your symptoms subside. The good news is that there is no need to take Nexium if you are allergic to lansoprazole or pantoprazole.

The drug, sold under the brand name Nexium, is also sold under other names, such as Prevacid and Prilosec.

For further information about heartburn, visit the A& E website.

The A& E website is registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

A& E A warning against the use of proton pump inhibitors by patients taking Nexium

If you think you have heartburn, talk to your doctor or A& E department's pharmacist.

They can assess the severity of your heartburn and suggest an appropriate treatment option.
